About me

I am Carol. As well as being extremely experienced and knowledgeable about the law, I am a caring real person who has not forgotten my roots.

I am a miner’s daughter brought up in a ‘cooncil hoose’ in in Dunfermline, Fife. That makes me thrifty (just being fae Fife) and a big believer of getting value for money. But, I do know what is important.

From a young age, I’ve always had a thirst for knowledge, to be the very best version of myself and always looking to support and help others wherever possible.

I was the first of my family to attend University. I achieved my first degree (in Business) whilst working full time and studying part time knowing that I really wanted to be a lawyer to help people like my dad, people like you. After achieving my first degree with distinction, I was fully committed to the law. I gave up everything (including a successful business career) to go to University full time and get my law degree as a mature student. I studied law at Dundee. Then, I became fully qualified as a lawyer at a top tier Edinburgh firm of solicitors. I was thrilled to be able to help people achieve their goals, often in difficult or challenging situations. I was headhunted and went on to work with another top tier firm in their court team. Since then, I have accumulated almost 15 years of legal experience, helping people just like you.

Family is everything to me. My dad sadly died at the early age of 64. This was devastating to both me and my sister. Thankfully, he had a Will and Power of Attorney (because I made sure that he did!). This meant that I was able to deal with his wishes quickly, effectively and efficiently.

Not everyone, unfortunately, has me in their corner, but you can!

My son sadly never met his grandad but I have ensured that he is properly provided for after I die. There is nothing more important than family. Don’t leave your family with the heart-ache of guessing.
